The new version of In Her Own Hands (version 0.6.1a) is now available to the Public. This update is the next within the progression of the 0.6.x content. Any necessary bugfixes will be incorporated in our next release.

The focus of this update was to move forward and refine several aspects of the game that will be expanded in the future. Paths with Jasmynn and Cassidy continue the protagonist's opportunities for different types of financial opportunities and relationships. The dive bar transitioned from a situational location to its own entity, allowing for more scenes and adventures with Abby in the future. New items are available for purchase in the convenience store and SUGAR for "personal use" in her bedroom. Finally, two opportunities appear that begin to encourage our protagonist to pick up new "bad habits," serving as a gateway to more corrupt paths in the game.

This version also launches an updated Phone, adding several new Phone apps and additional variable backgrounds to personalize the experience. Three new phone apps appear from the onset of the game: RideMe (ride sharing), FuckR (dating), and Alerts (notifications). Each will continue to be developed throughout the game, providing opportunities for new interactions, characters, and sexcapades.

Lastly, Version 0.6.1a continues to add and refine the "quality of life" content in the game, focused on interactions with the roommates in various conditions. Special opportunities emerge in the apartment depending on the protagonist's wardrobe choices and statistics. We will continue to add media around the apartment and city to reflect the protagonist's wardrobe choices

As always, we review and revise the core engine of the game. Several statistics have been adjusted to add nuance to gameplay, aesthetic tweaks were made, and several bug fixes were resolved. The changelog below records all of the notable updates.

Just as a reminder, if you are a returning player and would like to load a saved game from a previous version, don't forget to use the "Update Save" option in the sidebar menu. The ideal way to play is from the beginning, but the "Update" option will allow you to continue from where you left off.
